Source
The river originates from a small lake near the closed lake Tuyakh and flows to the northwest. Taking the tributaries from the Bad Lakes to the left, Mongnon turns east and flows about 10 km.
The height of the source is about 69 meters num.
Mainstream
Taking away to the north, the river creates a bend , after which it takes on its right its largest tributary - the Yellow River.
In the central part of the course, the Mongnon River has a width of 10 meters, a depth of 1 meter and hard rocks at the bottom.
Mouth
Mongnon flows into the small right duct of the Heth on the right. However, falling into the canal, Mongnon eroded the right-bank island of Heta, creating a small nameless islet, and began to flow “through” the canal, gradually leading its course into a new channel.
The main stream of the Heta Monggnon and the channel flow at the eastern end of the island of Korotky .
The height of the river near the mouth is 15 meters num.
Adjacent river basins
Mongnon in the west borders the Gusiny stream basin and the Largakalakh river, in the south with the Latitudinal lakes (flow into the Shirotnaya river), closed lake Tuyakh , and in the east with the Khobdoh-Sala river (tributary of Boyarka ).
