According to the data most frequently published in Soviet times, he personally shot down 12 enemy aircraft and 4 in a group, according to research M. Yu. Bykov, shot down 7 aircraft personally and 5 in a group [2] , according to S. Abrosov’s works on participation of Soviet fighters in the war in Spain - shot down 9 airplanes personally [3] , and according to V. Gagin - won 6 personal victories and 8 in the group [4] . He won one aerial victory in a night air battle, one of the first in the Soviet Air Force. In any case, by the number of confirmed victories, I. T. Eremenko is one of the first Soviet fighter aces of the Spanish War. [five]
