Mario Juric ( Croatian Mario Jurić ; February 9, 1979 , Zagreb ) is a Croatian astronomer and discoverer of asteroids who works at the Vishnian Observatory . In the period 1998 to 2000, together with the Croatian astronomer Corado Korlevich, he discovered a total of 125 asteroids [1] , as well as the short-period comet 183P / Korlevich-Juric .

In addition to the search for asteroids and comets, his scientific interests include issues of planetary as well as galactic dynamics, problems of computational astrophysics and applied mathematics (integration of algorithms).
In 2009, he won a scholarship from the American Space Agency for research in astronomy and astrophysics, physics of Einstein, Hubble and Sagan. According to Yona Morse, director of the NASA S Department of Astrophysics in Washington, Mario Juric is one of the 32 best and brightest young astronomers in the world [2] .
He took part in the study of the Great Wall of Sloan , the largest known galaxy cluster in the Universe.
He is a member of the society znanost.org (English) in the framework of which he participates in various projects aimed at the popularization of science.
