At an early age, he showed an interest in music (father and older brother of Boris Emelyanov played the button accordion). He showed his first experiments in composing melodies in his student years. After three years of military service he graduated from the Karaganda College of Music. But he began to engage in writing more seriously when he moved to Novokuznetsk (Kemerovo region), began to compose songs for local singers. In 1974 he graduated from the Kemerovo State University of Culture and Arts (Department of Conducting and Academic Singing). [1] In 1978, he moved to Moscow and after a few years worked with such songwriters as Mikhail Ryabinin , Boris Dubrovin , Leonid Derbenev , Robert Rozhdestvensky , Evgeny Yevtushenko . The first fame came to Boris Emelyanov after in 1978, on the Central Television, he performed his song “Tips-Kurnosiki” Valentina Tolkunova [2] . In 1990, the author’s vinyl giant Boris Emelyanova “The Waiting Room” was released, where, in addition to other artists, songs are also performed by the composer himself, including the song “Why Do People Separate,” which made Boris Emelyanova famous as a performer.
