Geography
Located in the west of the district, 12 km from the district center of Sasovo .

History
The estate of the Voronezh governor, team leader P.V. Izmailov (1686-1772), known from the first third of the XVIII century. In the last quarter of the 18th century, two estates were listed in the village.
One belonged to Privy Councilor F.V. Karachinsky , in the middle of the XIX century, college assessor and chamberlain N.I. Karachinsky, after his daughter S.N. Karachinskaya, who married Lieutenant General F.F. von der Launitz (1811-1886). Start their son Tambov governor, and later the St. Petersburg mayor, Major General V.F. von der Launitz (1855-1906, killed by terrorists), married to Princess M.A. Trubetskoy (1863-1922). Further, until 1917, their son, college secretary V.V. von der Launitz (g / p 1884). The estate of von der Launitzov had a well-established farm engaged in animal husbandry and a stud farm .
Another manor in the last quarter of the 18th century in the village was owned by a real privy councilor, Prince I.A. Gagarin (1771-1832), married with his first marriage to E.I. Balabina (1773-1803), the second marriage to actress E.S. Semenova (1786-1849). In the 1910s, the Tula district and provincial leader of the nobility, the real state adviser R.D. Eropkin (g / p 1866).
From the Launicev estate, a ruined one-story main house with a tower, one-story residential and office outbuildings have been preserved. The equestrian complex, barn, warehouse - all of the first half - the middle of the XIX century in the style of pseudo - Gothic . The two-story school building built by V.F. Eclectic-style launcher with brick style elements. A granite cross near the site of the now destroyed family crypt, where V.F. von der Launitz. Park with landscape and regular parts and ponds.
