Geographical position
Mordvinovo is located in the central part of the Sasovsk district , 12 km southeast of the district center on the Nochka stream.
Nearest settlements:
- Berestyanki village 1 km north along a dirt road (4 km along an asphalt road);
- the village of Berestyanka station, 2 km northeast on an asphalt road;
- Murzinki village 5 km east along a dirt road;
- Vyalsa village 4.5 km south along an asphalt road.
The nearest railway station is Berestyanka , 2 km northeast on an asphalt road.

Climate
The climate is temperate continental with moderately hot summers (average July temperature +19 ° C) and relatively cold winters (average January temperature −11 ° C). Precipitation is about 600 mm per year.

Hydrography
To the north of the village is a small swampy area through which the Nochka stream flows. Tsna River - 1.5 km to the west.

History
Administrative division
Since 1861, Mordvinovo was part of the Vyalsa volost of the Elatom district of the Tambov province . From 2004 to the present, it has been part of the Berestyansky rural settlement . Until that moment, it was part of the Berestyansky rural district .

Infrastructure
Road Network
An asphalt road Sasovo - Klyuchi passes through the village. There are 4 streets in the village [8] : Meadow, Field, River, Central.
Transport
Communication with the district center is carried out by route No. 111 Sasovo - Arga . Small buses (GAZelle on Tue and Thu) or medium capacity (other days of the week) run all year round on this route twice a day (morning and afternoon). The fare to Sasovo is 20 rubles [9] .

Engineering Infrastructure
The village receives electricity through a 10 kV transit power line from the 35/10 kV Vyalsa substation located in the village of Vyalsa. Further, through the only transformer MTP VL-108 diverges in three lines along the streets. Since 2007, the village has been connected to the gas pipeline. There is no water supply, although there is a water tower. There are several wells.
Education
There was an elementary school.
Interesting Facts
- Within the boundaries of the settlement, in the northwestern part of it, there was a distant drive radio beacon of the Sasovskiy flight school of civil aviation (SERVICE). In 2013, disbanded. The buildings are dismantled. In 2014, a distant radio beacon was newly built in the southern part of the village. For this purpose, a branch to the transformer from the 10 kV line F-1 Vyalsa of pillar No. 90 was built.
- 3 km to the east was the abolished village of Bugrovoy (on the old maps of Bugrovoye) and 3 km to the south the village of Gorodok (not to be confused with Aviagorodok). There are no buildings left.
