The population according to the 2001 census is about 3.4 thousand people [4] . The area of the village council is 53 km² [5] .
It was founded in 1938 as the Freydorf Village Council, renamed in May45 the Mayevsky Village Council, and in the 1950s - Novoselovsky.
By 2014, it consisted of 1 village and 1 village:
- Novosyolovskoe
- North
Since 2014, the Novosyolovskoye rural settlement has been located on the site of the council.
