History

In the 18th century, a settlement was formed on the territory of the Atkar district in the upper reaches of the Direct Balanda River. After a while, it gets the name New Balanda. The settlers - Great Russian peasants were engaged in agriculture, kept cattle and poultry. Houses and courtyards were built from clay, sand, straw, horse manure and stone, which was mined 11 miles, near the village of Nakhodka.

Time passes and the land belonging to Prince Kochubey becomes the property of Countess Sofya Lvovna Shuvalova-Naryshkina. From the middle of the 19th century, the peasants of the village of Balandinka (New Balanda) are assigned to the St. Sophia Church of St. Sophia. According to the census of 1859, there were 36 yards in the village of Balandinka of the Atkar district of the second camp.

The village is located at the intersection of two roads. One road connects the city of Arkadak (the village of Nikolskoye), the village of Rostashi (Grachi), the village of Balandinka, the village of Sofyino (Sofinka), the village of Sergievka and the city of Kalininsk (Sloboda Balanda). The other road is the postal route, it connected the city of Saratov, the city of Atkarsk, the village of Koleno (with the post station), the village of Novaya Dmitriyevka (Kriusha Vedenyapino), the village of Balandinka, the village of Olgino (Olgovka) - the postal station, the village of Novopokrovskoye (Vikhlyaevka), the village of Berezovka (post station), the village of Barki, the city of Balashov.

After the reorganization of the county, Balandinka is part of the Sophia volost of the Atkar district and continues its development.

At the end of the 19th century, a zemstvo school was opened in the village, where one could be trained and learn simple arithmetic, calligraphy, and learn to read. Further training was continued at the Sophia Church School, located five miles from Balandinki.

According to the 1911 census, in the village of Balandinka, Sofinsky volost of Atkar district, there were 146 yards and 1,006 inhabitants (494 men and 512 women) lived.

December 12, 1923 Sofinsky volost is abolished and all settlements from its composition goes to the Kolensky volost of Atkarsky uyezd.

In 1928, as a result of the reorganization of the Saratov province, the village of Balandinka, as part of the Balandinsky village council, entered the Arkadak district of the Balashov district.

The material used statistical data from the books: "List of settlements according to the data of 1859 of the Saratov province", "Lists of settlements of the Saratov province. Atkarsky district appraisal and statistical department of the Saratov Provincial Zemsky Administration 1912."
