Geography
Genkirshan is located in the eastern Moselle, 23 km northeast of Metz . Neighboring communes: Eblange in the northeast, Rupeldange in the east, Bouleie-Moselle in the southeast, Enange in the south, Charleville-sous-Bois , Megange and Burtoncourt .
History
- The former feudal lord of the episcopate, which throughout its history has alternately belonged to several lords: the Counts of Bouille, the Seras de Variz, Breton de la Touche and, finally, the Marquis de Custine.
