M84 - American light and sound grenade .
A special non-lethal action tool, which has been in the arsenal of law enforcement agencies and special services of the United States since 1995, designed to provide light-sound effects on the enemy with the goal of temporary psychophysiological (distracting and stunning) and mechanical immobilizing action for temporary disabling.
The grenade consists of a body, a special chemical substance and a fuse, the body of this grenade is a steel tube with 12 holes on the sides and two hexagonal bases.
The chemical composition of the filler is made on the basis of magnesium and ammonium nitrate.
When the M84 grenade fires, there is a loud sound popping (170-180 decibels) and a bright flash of light (1.5-2.0 million candela) with a damaging effect in a radius of 1.5 meters.
