Content
Biography
He studied at the Faculty of Philosophy at Charles University , defended a diploma in visual poetry by Jiří Kolář and Henri Michaud . He entered the circles of the Czech underground . He was friends with Vaclav Havel , more than once mentioned in his Letters to Olga . The artistic director of the psychedelic rock band The Plastic People of the Universe , whose persecution by the authorities caused a wave of resistance that spilled over into the famous Charter 77 . He was in prison three times in the 1970s and spent eight and a half years in prison in total.
Daughter - writer Frantishka Yirousova (born 1980 ).
