Zaporizhzhya Regional Philharmonic

Zaporizhzhya Regional Philharmonic Society ( Ukrainian: Zaporizhzka oblas philharmonic ) is a state cultural institution located in the city of Zaporozhye that conducts concert performances and directs the creative activities of its performing artists - soloists, musicians, instrumentalists, music and performing groups and artists colloquial genres, and also organizes concert performances by Ukrainian and foreign touring artists in Zaporozhye.

The Philharmonic was founded in 1939. Placed in the concert hall to them. M. I. Glinka (for 772 places), built in the 1950s (architect G. G. Wegman , engineer V. Shapilsky), and named after the famous composer M. I. Glinka [1] . The Philharmonic is a municipal institution of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Council.

Today, the communal institution, under the leadership of the Director General of the Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Irina Konareva, has a creative base for the development of all types of musical art. Symphony and chamber concerts, recitals of philharmonic artists, musical lectures, literary lounges, tours of foreign performers, regional, national and international festivals, contests, creative meetings, events, for professional and calendar holidays are the creative work of the workers and artists of the philharmonic. The Philharmonic Society includes:

  • Academic Symphony Orchestra led by People's Artist of Ukraine Vyacheslav Redi ,
  • Academic Cossack Song and Dance Ensemble "Zaporozhye" ( Ukrainian Zaporizhzhy ) under the guidance of Honored Worker of Culture Lilia Grin (1993 year of foundation),
  • concert groups led by S. Shepel and A. Khodakova,
  • pop group of the honored artist of Ukraine A. Bezsaly,
  • People's Artist of Ukraine L. Malitskaya,
  • Honored Artists of Ukraine V. Anistratov, V. Garkush, A. Brengach, V. Medvedev.
  • bandurer ensemble "Bozhena" under the direction of O. Bezhenar
