“Sweet Thing” ( Russian sweet thing ) is a song by Chaki Khan and Tony Maiden ( Rufus band), written and first performed by the Rufus featuring Chaka Khan in 1975, and won first place in rhythm and blues and pop charts [1] .

In 1992, the song was sung by Mary J. Blige , her performance was included in the top 40 best hits and was on the 25th position in the pop charts and on the 11th line in the rhythm and blues charts.
Also known as American saxophonist Bonnie James , the song gave the name to his fourth studio album, the musician, which recorded the second track. In the interpretation of Bonnie James, backing vocals and a small guitar part were performed by Tony Maiden [2] .
