Nikolay Gavrilovich Kogotkov (1894 - September 8, 1929) - miner .
Biography
Born in 1894 in the village of Chulkovsky Vyselki of the Skopinsky district in a semi-peasant mining family. Father died in the Russo-Japanese War. Kolya Kogotkov at the age of ten became the breadwinner of a large family. He worked for two years, spent a year in shepherds, worked as a hammer thresher for three years, and also visited peat mining.
A seventeen-year-old young man came to the Pobedinsky mine. Carried out all work on the surface of the mine. Five years was a mining fitter.
During the February Revolution, the miners nominated Kogotkov as their deputy to the mine committee and the Council of Workers' Deputies . At the beginning of 1918 N.G. Kogotkov joined the ranks of the CPSU (b) . In 1918 he was elected a member of the Presidium of the Skopinsky City Council. In 1919 - a member of the board of the miners union. In 1921 - a member of the board of Glavugol. In 1922 , he was appointed assistant manager of the Moscow Region swimming pool.
In 1923 he studied in Moscow at the faculty of mining academy.
From 1924 to November 1926, he was a member of the Presidium of the District Committee of the Miners Union of the Moscow Region Basin. From December 1926 to March 1928 N.G. Kogotkov is the chairman of this district committee of the trade union, being at the same time a member of the Tula Provincial Committee of the CPSU (B.).
September 8, 1928 Nikolai Gavrilovich Kogotkov died. He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow.
Memory
- In 1929, the Kogotkovo railway station was named after him, and since 2004, the microdistrict of the city of Skopin, Ryazan Region .
