Design
The Mk 2 has an ovoid finned metal body. A spiral of notched steel wire is tightly laid along the inner surface of the casing. Bursting charge - 21 grams of smokeless powder for blank cartridges of the EC brand or 57 grams of trinitrotoluene.
Although the grenade is considered defensive, the rapid loss of destructive energy by fragments allows the grenade to be used both in defense and in attack.
