Biography
Hiroyuki Savano began playing the piano in elementary school after his older sister. His mother’s words also influenced him, that his son “fingers like a lady are designed to play the piano”. The first album, bought by Hiroyuki Savano back in elementary school, was Dragon Quest Original Soundtrack. Then he became interested in creating background music.
From the age of 17 he studied composition, arrangement, orchestration and piano under the guidance of Nobutiki Tsuboi [3] .
After graduating from music school, Hiroyuki Savano sent his recordings to many record companies, but they were little interested in releasing soundtracks. Hiroyuki Savano began to take part in various music competitions to be noticed. And he was soon hired by one of the companies. However, after some time, Savano left her to continue working towards the creation of background music.
Subsequently, Hiroyuki Savano was admitted to the Legendoor Agency, established in 2006. Legendoor's goal was to recruit composers to create soundtracks, and Hiroyuki Savano was the first composer to be accepted into this agency.
The first serious work of Hiroyuki Savano was the soundtracks for the TV series "Nurse Aoi", co-written with Yuko Fukushima in 2006. In the same year he created music for the series “Iryu - Dragon medical team”, thanks to which he became famous in Japan [4] . The song "Aesthetic" performed by Aiki Sekiyama, sounded in the series, was included in the collection Best Scene from Drama & Cinema along with the works of Jo Hyisaishi , Naoki Sato and others, released by EMI Music Japan .
The soundtracks for the anime series Savano began writing in 2006. In 2009, Savano released his first original album, Musica.
The music for the series is sometimes written in collaboration with other composers of the Legendoor agency - Yuki Hayashi, Takafumi Wada, Asami Tachibana. For their projects, Hiroyuki Savano often attracts artists such as Mika Kobayashi, Aimee Blackschleger, Aimer, Cyua, mpi, David Whitaker, Yumiko Inoue. A symphony orchestra was invited to record music for Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and Blue Exorcist [5]
According to Hiroyuki Savano himself, Hans Zimmer , Jo Hisaishi , Tetsuya Komuro and Ryuichi Sakamoto had a great influence on him and his work.
In July 2017, Hiroyuki Savano terminated the contract with Legendoor agency, where he worked for 12 years [6] , and transferred to VV-ALKLINE.
In July 2018, he launched the project "[-30k] re: tuneS", in which already released songs will be rewritten with new arrangements and vocalists. The debut song was "Bios" performed by Laco. [7]
In September 2019, he wrote the music for the trailer for the timed release of the event in the League Of Legends game called "Star Defenders - Light and Dark" [8]
