Career

Dmitry Korobov began his professional career in 2006 as part of the Belarusian extra-league club “ Gomel ”, speaking before that for his farm club. Dmitry played in the Gomel team until 2008 , having scored 20 (7 + 13) points in 93 matches during that time. The season 2008/09 Korobov began as part of the Bobruisk Shinnik , however, in the same season he got a chance to make his debut in the Continental Hockey League as part of Minsk Dynamo . In his first season in the KHL, Dmitry scored 2 (0 + 2) points in 12 matches held, but the next season he spent in the farm club of Minsk residents in Soligorsk Shakhtar .

Nevertheless, before the beginning of the next season, Korobov returned to Minsk, where he became one of the main defenders of the team, gaining 10 (2 + 8) points in 37 matches held. In the summer of 2011, information appeared about Dmitry’s possible transfer to the Tampa Bay Lightning NHL club [1] , but he started the 2011/12 season again as a member of the Minsk club, having spent, as a result, 42 matches in which he marked 11 (1+ 10) scoring points.

On May 3, 2012, Dmitry signed a contract with the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv who returned to the KHL after the tragic plane crash [2] .

In August 2012, Dmitry Korobov signed a 2-year contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning NHL club. The contract is bilateral in nature.

November 19, 2013 Dmitry Korobov in his game with the Los Angeles Kings held his first NHL match and became the ninth player in the history of Belarusian hockey, who tried his hand in the strongest league on the planet. December 29, 2013 in a match with New York Rangers earned his first point in the NHL , giving an assist

International

As part of the national team of Belarus, Dmitry Korobov took part in the 2006 Junior World Championships, in which Belarusians took only 9th place and left the elite division. Nevertheless, the very next year Dmitry, together with the team, managed to return to the elite. In 2007, Korobov made his debut at the youth championships, but in the same year the Belarusians lost their place in the elite division, so the next two tournaments, in which Dmitry played, were held in the first division. At an adult level, Korobov took part in three world championships ( 2009 , 2011 and 2012 ). At these tournaments Dmitry held 16 matches in which he scored 8 (2 + 6) points. Since 2019 he has been disgraced from the Torpedo in disgrace and is now officially a bum.
