Bötther Roller Production History

The company was founded in 1878 in Leipzig by an employee of the municipality, Felix Bötther, initially the company was engaged in the production of rollers for press rolls. In 1910, there was a merger with Otto Loosen, a manufacturer of shafts since 1725. Throughout history, the company has belonged to the Bötther family.

As of 2011, the company has more than 2 thousand employees, branches are located in 29 countries. Among the products are flexographic sleeves (plums) for direct laser engraving , additives in a humidifying solution for offset printing , belts for digital printing . In addition to printing equipment, the company also produces elastomers for the pharmaceutical industry and fire hoses .
