Geography
Location
9 km south-east of Chechersk , 46 km from the Buda-Koshelevskaya railway station (on the Gomel - Zhlobin line ), 74 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
A reclamation canal passes through the village, connected to the Pokat River (a tributary of the Sozh River ).
Transportation Network
Transport links along the country road, then the Svetilovichi - Zalesye highway . The layout consists of 2 parts divided by drainage channels: northern (short street, oriented from the southeast to northwest) and southern (2 short streets). The building is wooden, manor type.
History
It was founded in the 2nd half of the 19th century . In 1926, he worked as a post office in the Zalessky Village Council of the Chechersky District of the Gomel District . In 1929 a collective farm was organized. During World War II, in September 1942, the invaders shot 32 residents (buried in the grave of victims of fascism on the northern outskirts), and on October 9, 1943, they burned the village and killed 4 residents. 42 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census, as part of the Zvezda collective farm (center - Zalesye village).
