Pokrysheva Street (St. Petersburg)

Initially, the street was called Odintsovo Lane (the name has been known since 1883 ). The lane began from Primorsky Prospekt and went to Moskovskaya Street, which was located between Savushkina Street and Dibunovskaya Street . In 1912, the street was extended to School Street . In the 1940s, the name was abolished and the street remained without a name until the end of the 1960s . In the 1950s, in connection with the reconstruction of the district, the section from Primorsky Avenue to Savushkina Street disappeared. The modern name of the street was assigned on October 28, 1968 ^[1] in honor of Pyotr Afanasevich Pokryshev , Hero of the Soviet Union .
