(5050) Doctorwatson is an asteroid from the main belt group that was discovered on September 14, 1983 by the American astronomer Edward Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Observatory and on September 1, 1993 [1] is named after Dr. Watson , a fictional character in the stories of Sherlock Holmes Arthur Conan Doyle [2] .
