Ales (Gomel region)

Ales ( Belor. Ales ) is a former village in the Merkulovichsky village council of the Chechersky district of the Gomel region of Belarus . It was abolished in 2018 [1] .

Geography

Location

16 km northwest of Chechersk , 70 km from Gomel , 42 km from the Buda-Koshelevskaya railway station (on the Gomel - Zhlobin line ).

Hydrography

In the east and south, reclamation canals connected to the Chechora River (a tributary of the Sozh River ).

Transportation Network

Near the highway Merkulovichi - Chechersk. The building is wooden, manor type.

History

It was founded in the early 1920s by immigrants from neighboring villages on the former landowner lands. In 1931 a collective farm was organized. 11 residents died on the fronts of World War II . According to the 1959 census, as part of the Botvinovo state farm (the center is the village of Botvinovo ).
