Biography
Petroc was the son of King Dumnonia Clemen ap Bledrick . In 633, his father left with the allies to free Gwynedd . There was a battle in which King Clement died.
In The Triads of the Isle of Britain , Petroc is included among the three fairest knights of the island. In 650, the Battle of Bradford-on-Avon took place, in which the Saxons defeated, presumably the Roots.
In 658, Petroc made a trip to Wessex when Kenval ruled there. His goal was the return of the eastern lands. However, at the Battle of Penselwood (Peonne) , he and his ally, King of Glastening , were defeated. Petroc died in this battle. The new king of Dumnonia was Culmin .
