Location
2 km east of Svetlogorsk , 3 km from the Svetlogorsk-on-Berezin railway station (on the Zhlobin - Kalinkovichi line ), 112 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
In the west - the floodplain of the Berezina river, lakes Krivoe and Glushets .
Transportation Network

History
Discovered by archaeologists of the Neolithic era, 4 - 2 millennia BC. e. (1 km to B and 1.5 km southeast of the village, both on the right bank of the Berezina), indicate human activity in this area since ancient times. In the village itself there is a settlement of the Iron Age and the Middle Ages [1] .
According to written sources, the village has been known since the 18th century as a village in the Rechitsa district of the Minsk Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania .
After the 2nd division of the Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . The St. Nicholas Church operated (metric books from 1796 were stored in it). In 1850, the possession of the landowner Adamovich. Instead of the old one in 1854, a new wooden church was built. In 1863, the school building was built and classes began in it. A bolshak passed from the village from Rogachev to Volyn and to Chernigov . There was a post station (14 epipages), a ferry crossing on Berezina. It is indicated on the map of 1866, which was used by the Western expedition to drain swamps, which worked in these places in the 1890s. The center of the volost, which in 1885 included 20 villages with 580 yards. In 1886, a public school was opened, a church functioned. According to the 1897 census, a church, a public school, 4 shops, and a tavern operated. Near the eponymous farm .
In 1908, the post office worked in the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province . As a result of the cholera epidemic in 1910, 4 residents died. There was an outpatient clinic.
In August 1918, during the German occupation (World War I), the Gorvali partisan detachment occupied the village and established Soviet power in it. From August 20, 1924 until 1928, the center of the Yakimovoslobodsky Village Council of the Parichsky District of the Bobruisk District . In 1929 a collective farm was organized. In the 1930s, 8 residents were repressed. Svetlogorsk poultry farm, post office , feldsher-midwife station, school, kindergarten, cultural center, library, church are located.
