Kulbash is a sedge-hypnoe swamp [1] in the Uchalinsky district of Bashkortostan , on the border of the village councils Ozerny and Kazakkulovsky [2] .

Content
Geography
The swamp is located north of the large Uzunkul lake [3] . Together with the northern part of this lake, it is included in the list of valuable natural territories of the Uchalinsky district, promising for the establishment of protected natural areas. The swamp is considered as a territory promising for the creation of a wildlife sanctuary with the aim of protecting biodiversity and wetland natural complexes.
The area of the swamp (with the northern part of the lake) is about 300 hectares [4] .
Flora
Swamp flora is represented by typical biocenoses of swamp, aquatic and coastal aquatic vegetation. Their environmental significance is assessed as high [4] .
Fauna
A variety of birds nest in the swamp (loot , mallard , small goose , black-throated loon, and others), including rare species [4] .
