In September 2013, it was ranked (in 17th place) among the 25 best secondary schools in Russia according to the Moscow Center for Continuing Mathematical Education [1] . It occupies the 14th place in the Olympiad rating of the Union of Rectors of Russia according to the results of the 2012/2013 academic year [2] [3] .

History
In 1992, a lyceum school with in-depth study of economics and law was created on the basis of comprehensive school No. 24 of the city of Kirov . The founder was the Administration of the city of Kirov . In 1993, IBM- compatible computer class was opened. In the same year, the Miss Lyceum competition was held for the first time among students in grades 9-11. In 1995, the Lyceum scientific and methodological collection “Steps of the Lyceum” began to be published.
In 1997, the separation of the lyceum from the school was completed. In 1999, the lyceum became the basic school of the State University - the Higher School of Economics , in 2002 - the basic laboratory school of the Russian Academy of Education . In 2002, the Lyceum was connected to the Internet. In 2007, a cooperation agreement was signed between KEPL and Moscow State University. Lomonosov .
Learning Structure
Most students enter fifth grade through special entrance exams and paid preparatory courses (optional). From the eighth grade there is a division into profiles: socio-economic, economic-mathematical and historical-legal. You can also enter the eighth grade after passing the entrance exams.
