Geography
Location
3 km north-west of Svetlogorsk , 3 km from the railway station Svetlogorsk-on-Berezina (on the Zhlobin - Kalinkovichi line ), 113 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the Zherdyanka River (a tributary of the Berezina River ).
Transportation Network
On the highway Svetlogorsk - Parichi . The layout consists of a straight street, oriented from the south-east to north-west. The building is two-sided, brick, multi-storey and wooden, mostly manor type. In 1991-93, 98 brick, cottage-type houses were built in which immigrants from places contaminated by radiation after the Chernobyl NPP disaster settled.
History
In the 1960s, a residential settlement was intensively built around the Svetlogorsk creamery. On January 21, 1969, the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the BSSR approved its name. Residents of the village work in the maslosyrzavodze, are engaged in agriculture, and many are employed in enterprises in Svetlogorsk. There is a club, first-aid station, shop.
