Location
53 km north-west of Svetlogorsk , 13 km from the Moshny railway station (on the Bobruisk - Rabkor line from the Osipovichi - Zhlobin line ), 163 km from Gomel .
Transportation Network
Transport links along the country road, then the Bobruisk - Rechitsa highway . The layout consists of an arched latitudinal street, to which a short street joins from the south. The building is two-sided, mainly wooden, of a manor type.
History
Discovered by archaeologists in the northwestern outskirts, in the Kurganie tract, a burial mound (228 heavily showered embankments) indicates human activity in these places since ancient times. According to written sources, the modern village has been known since the 19th century as a village in the Brozhsky volost of the Bobruisk district of the Minsk province . In 1919, a school was opened, for which a nationalized building was allocated.
From August 20, 1924 to July 16, 1954, the center of the Kovchitsky Village Council of Parichsky , from July 29, 1961 the Svetlogorsk district of Bobruisk (until July 26, 1930) district, from February 20, 1938 to Polesskaya , from January 8, 1954 to Gomel regions.
In 1929 a collective farm was organized. During World War II, German punishers killed 318 residents on January 19, 1942. In the battles against the invaders in December 1943, 190 Soviet soldiers were killed in the 37th Guards Rifle Division and partisans of the S.M. Kirov detachment of the 37th Parthisan Brigade named after Parkhomenko (buried in a mass grave on the southwestern outskirts). In 1944, the village of Baranniy Rog and the village of Prudishchi were added to the village. According to the 1959 census, there was a forestry, a shoe shop, a secondary school, a cultural center, a library, a feldsher-midwife station, a post office , a shop, and a kindergarten.
