Location
10 km north of the district center and the Rechitsa railway station (on the Gomel - Kalinkovichi line ), 60 km from Gomel .

History
Discovered by archaeologists 2 settlements beginning of I millennium BC. er (on the western outskirts and 1.5-2 km south of the village) indicate the settlement of these places from ancient times. According to written sources, it has been known since the 18th century as a village in Rechytsa district of Minsk province of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania .
After the 2nd partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . In 1850, the property of the treasury. In 1879 it was designated in the Rechitsa parish . According to the census of 1897, the school of literacy operated. In addition to farming, 15 people were engaged in the construction of barges and boats.
