Location
16 km to the north-west of the regional center and the Rechitsa railway station (on the Gomel - Kalinkovichi line ), 66 km from Gomel .

History
It was founded in the 1920s by immigrants from neighboring villages on the former landowner lands. In 1930, a collective farm was organized. During World War II in July 1943, the invaders completely burned the village and killed a resident. On November 10, 1943, the 17th tank brigade against a German tank group waged a heavy battle near the village. A battery of heavy self-propelled guns under the command of I.V. Vyugov struck at German tanks (awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union ), and the village was liberated. 5 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census as part of the Podlesie state farm (the center is the village of Milograd ).
