Location
25 km east of the district center and the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 96 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
To the river Rekotun (other name - Rekotina, Polish - Rakutiną) (a tributary of the Dnieper River ).
Transportation Network
On the highway Rogachev - Dovsk . The layout consists of an almost rectilinear meridional street, to which a short rectilinear street joins in the south. History
The burial mound of XI-XII centuries discovered by archaeologists (14 embankments, 1 km south-west of the village) indicates the settlement of these places since ancient times.

From July 16, 1954 to April 14, 1960 the center of the Serebryansky Village Council of Zhuravichsky , from December 17, 1956 of the Rogachevsky districts of the Gomel region.
In 1969, the villages of Staraya Serebryanka and Novaya Serebryanka merged into one - Serebryanka. The center of the collective farm "Dawn".
