Geography

Location

25 km east of the district center and the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 96 km from Gomel .

Hydrography

To the river Rekotun (other name - Rekotina, Polish - Rakutiną) (a tributary of the Dnieper River ).

Transportation Network

On the highway Rogachev - Dovsk . The layout consists of an almost rectilinear meridional street, to which a short rectilinear street joins in the south. During the Great Patriotic War, from September 1, 1941 to December 23, 1943, a patriotic underground operated (leaders M. A. Dmitriev, N. I. Levenkova, M. T. Potapenko). 59 residents died at the front.

From July 16, 1954 to April 14, 1960 the center of the Serebryansky Village Council of Zhuravichsky , from December 17, 1956 of the Rogachevsky districts of the Gomel region.

In 1969, the villages of Staraya Serebryanka and Novaya Serebryanka merged into one - Serebryanka. The center of the collective farm "Dawn".

Forestry, a sewing workshop, a secondary school, a cultural center, a library, a kindergarten, a feldsher-midwife station, a veterinary station, a communications department , and a store are located.
