Location
26 km south-west of the district center and the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 148 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the Dobosna River (a tributary of the Dnieper ).
Transportation Network
Transport links on the country, then the highway Bobruisk - Gomel. The layout consists of a rectilinear meridional street, to which a short rectilinear street joins in the north. Two-sided building, wooden, manor type.
History
The burial mound discovered by archaeologists (62 embankments, 0.4 km east of the village) indicates the settlement of these places since ancient times. It has been known from written sources since the 18th century . Under 1769, in the acts of the Tribunal of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, it is mentioned as an estate in the Rechitsa district of the Minsk Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania .
After the 2nd division of the Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . In 1882, a parish school was opened, which was located in a hired peasant house, and in 1900 a building was built for it. Since 1880, the Orthodox Church operated. In 1884, in the Lukovo volost of the Rogachev district of the Mogilev province . According to the 1897 census, a literacy school and a windmill operated . In 1909, 539 acres of land.
On March 26, 1906, a villager Mark Ivan Ovsyannikov was elected a deputy to the first Russian parliament - to the State Duma of the first convocation [1] .
As a result of the fire on September 13, 1925, 30 buildings burned down. In 1931 a collective farm was organized. During the Great Patriotic War, punishers burned 16 yards. In the battles for the village and its environs, 28 Soviet soldiers and partisans died (buried in a mass grave in the cemetery). 36 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census as part of the Red Army collective farm (the center is the village of Ostrov ). The library was located.
