Popovtsy ( Belorussian. Papoўcy ) is a village in the Pobolovsky village council of the Rogachev district of the Gomel region of Belarus .

Geography
Location
27 km south-west of the district center and the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 148 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the Dobosna River (a tributary of the Dnieper ).
Transportation Network
Transport links on the country, then the highway Bobruisk - Gomel. The layout consists of a slightly curved street, close to the meridional orientation and built up on two-sided wooden estates.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the beginning of the 19th century as a village in Rogachev district of the Mogilev province . In 1925, the village of Popovtsy and the villages of Popovtsy-1, Popovtsy-2 existed. In 1931, a collective farm named after K. Ya. Voroshilov was organized , and a windmill worked . During World War II in 1944, punishers burned 25 yards. 46 residents were killed at the front. According to the 1959 census as part of the Red Army collective farm (the center is the village of Ostrov ). The feldsher-midwife station was located.
