New Zhuravichi ( Belorussian. Novyya Zhuravichy ) is a village in the Zhuravichi village council of the Rogachev district of the Gomel region of Belarus .

Geography
Location
46 km to the north-east from the regional center and the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 98 km from Gomel .
Transportation Network
On the highway Dovsk - Slavgorod ). The layout consists of a rectilinear street oriented from the southeast to northwest, to the center of which a rectilinear street joins at a right angle from the east and a short street of latitudinal orientation from the north. The building is wooden, manor type.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the second half of the XIX century , when immigrants from the town of Zhuravichi founded a village near the postal tract. In 1853-59, a wooden church was built. In 1931 a collective farm was organized. During World War II in November 1943, the invaders burned 6 yards and killed 6 residents. In battles for the village and its environs, 151 Soviet soldiers died (buried in a mass grave in the center of the village). 82 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census as part of the collective farm “12 years of the October Revolution” (center - the village of Zhuravichi ).
