Location
25 km east of the district center and the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 115 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the river Rekotun (a tributary of the Dnieper River ).
Transportation Network
Transport links along the country road, then the highway Rogachev - Dovsk . The layout consists of a rectilinear street close to a latitudinal orientation with 3 lanes. Two-sided building, wooden, manor type.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 18th century as a village in the Dovskaya volost of the Rogachev district of the Mogilev province . In 1824, peasant unrest occurred in connection with the oppression of the owner of the village, the landowner Borisovich. The Holy Intercession Church was operating (it burned down in 1864), since 1880 a grocery store and a literacy school have been operating. According to the 1897 census, a bread store, a windmill , an oil mill, and a tavern operated. In 1909, 1,450 acres of land.
In 1930, the Bolshevik collective farm was organized. 2 forges worked. 2 residents died in the Soviet-Finnish , 68 - in the Great Patriotic War. According to the 1959 census, as part of the state farm “May 1” (the center is the Kurgan agro-town). The club was located.
