Geography

Location

12 km east of the regional center and the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 133 km from Gomel .

Transportation Network

Transport links along the country road, then the highway Rogachev - Dovsk . The layout consists of an arched street close to latitudinal orientation, to which 3 lanes join from the south and 2 lanes from the north. The building is two-sided, loose, mostly wooden, of a manor type.

History

The ancient settlements of the Early Iron Age , the Bronze Age and Kievan Rus (1 km east of the village) and the burial mound (5 embankments 2.5-3 km east of the village) discovered by archaeologists testify to the settlement of these places since ancient times. In 1968, during agricultural work near the village, beads were found that include 14 pieces of paper and 6 silver pendants, similar to those found in ancient Russian mounds of the 11th century . It has been known from written sources since the 16th century . In 1682, the Zborov estate belonged to the Radziwills . In 1696, a village in the parish of the Rogachev Castle Church. In 1749 a wooden church was built.

After the 1st partition of the Commonwealth (1772) as part of the Russian Empire . Since 1880, a bread store was operating. According to the 1897 census, a church, a literacy school, a bakery, 2 windmills, and a drinking house functioned. In 1905, a public school was opened (in 1907 - 47 students), which was located in a hired peasant house, and in 1912 a building was built for it. In 1909, 2148 acres of land, in the Kistenevsky volost of the Rogachev district of the Mogilev province . As a result of a fire in 1910, 84 yards were burned.

From August 20, 1924, the center of the Zborovsky village council of the Rogachev district of the Bobruisk (until July 26, 1930) district, from February 20, 1938 of the Gomel region. In 1930, a collective farm was organized. 2 residents died in the Soviet-Finnish war . During World War II , 69 Soviet soldiers were killed in battles for the village and its environs (buried in a mass grave near a school). At the fronts and in the partisan struggle, 161 residents from the villages of the Zborovsky village council died, the memory of them is perpetuated by the obelisk, established in 1965 in the center of the village. Released on February 24, 1944. 77 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census, the center of the collective farm "New Way". There are a mechanical workshop, a 9-year-old school, the House of Culture, a library, a kindergarten, a feldsher-midwife station, a shop, and a communications department .

The structure of the Zborovsky village council until 1943 included the village of Renaissance, which was punished by punitive on September 23, 1943 (25 yards), 61 residents died, did not revive, immortalized in the Khatyn memorial complex.
