Location

24 km southeast of the district center and the Rogachev railway station (on the Mogilev - Zhlobin line ), 102 km from Gomel .

Hydrography

On the Rzhacha River (a tributary of the Rzhavka River).

History

The burial mounds of XI-XII centuries discovered by archaeologists (47 embankments 0.5 km to the southeast and 32 embankments 150 m south of the village) indicate the settlement of these places since ancient times. According to written sources, it has been known since the 19th century as a village in the Rogachev district of the Mogilev province . Since 1870, a cloth factory has been working in the farm . In 1879, the local landowner owned 160 tithes of land, a water mill and a cloth room. According to the census of 1897 in the Gorodets volost. In 1909, there were 134 acres of land in the village and 140 acres of land in the farm .

In 1925, the outskirts and villages, later the outskirts attached to the village. In 1931, residents entered the collective farm . During World War II in December 1943, the invaders burned 80 yards and killed 4 residents. 43 residents died at the front.
