Location
62 km north of Petrikov , 49 km from the railway station Mulyarovka (on the Luninets - Kalinkovichi line ), 212 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the southern outskirts is the old channel of the Oressa River, in the west and east there is a network of reclamation canals.
Transportation Network
Transport links along the country road, then the Komarovichi - Kopatkevichi road . The layout consists of 2 curved streets (one long, the second short), almost parallel to each other and oriented from the south-west to the north-east. Two-sided building, loose, wooden, manor type.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 16th century as the village of Khvastovichi in the Mozyr district of the Minsk Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . After the 2nd division of the Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . In 1834, in the Turov state estate, the center of the headman. In 1850 the property was treasury. It is marked on the map of 1866, which was used by the Western Land Reclamation Expedition, which worked in these places in the 1890s. In 1879, it was designated in the Komarovichi Church Parish . In 1885, a church worked, 2 water mills, in the Komarovichsky volost of the Mozyr district of the Minsk province .
In 1923, a school was opened, which was located in a hired peasant house. In 1930, the collective farm “Soviet Belarus” was organized, a steam mill and a forge worked. During the Great Patriotic War , partisans and an underground printing house were based here. In March 1943, the invaders completely burned the village and killed 20 inhabitants. 55 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census, as part of the Komarovichi state farm (center - Komarovichi village). There is a post office , 9-year-old school, library, feldsher-midwife station.
