Biography
Football career
Yudika began to play at a high level as a member of the team from his hometown Newells Old Boys, and then played for such strong Argentine clubs as Boca Juniors, Veles Sarsfield and Estudiantes, but he did not achieve any special achievements there. In recent years, his career as a football player, Yudika played in Colombia, where he achieved his only title at the highest level, winning the national championship with Deportivo Cali. He completed his career in the clubs of the lower divisions in Argentina.
In 1956, Yudika played 4 matches for Argentina. He spent two matches at the Pan American Games in Mexico City (scored a goal against the Brazilian national team ), also spent one friendly game, and one match as part of the friendly Atlantic Cup against the Uruguayan national team [1] .
Coach Career
A rather modest career as a football player contrasts sharply with the successes of Yudiki as a coach. He achieved significant success: he led Kilmes to the Argentinean champion’s only title in the club’s history, but he made three different teams as champions of Argentina, becoming the first coach to ever achieve such a success [2] ; in addition, Judika led the Argentinos Juniors to victory in the Libertadores Cup in 1985.
In 1977, José Yudika saved Kilmes from relegation to the Second Division, and the following year won with this one of the oldest in Argentina, but never missed stars from the sky team, victory in the national championship - Metropolitano 1978. In 1980, Yudika led the Estudiantes, but a year later he returned to Quilmes and won with him the Second Division of Argentina. He achieved the same success with San Lorenzo in 1982 - one of the most famous Argentinean clubs sensationally flew into the second echelon and, for the sake of working with this team and its return to the elite, Yudika was forced to abandon the prospect of playing with Quilmes again in An example.
In 1985, Judika began working with Argentinos Juniors, in which the strongest squad in the history of the club was selected. In the first year, Yudika won the Libertadores Cup with Argentinos. The Red Beetles Campaign in the 1985 Libertadores Cup was quite remarkable. Argentinos Juniors ended up in the same group as their longtime rivals from Ferrocaril Oeste . At the end of the group stage, these two clubs shared the first place with 9 points scored, which led to an extra match, which Argentinos won with a score of 3: 1. The team won the second group stage and earned a place in the finals, where America Cali, the worst rival of the former Yudiki club, Deportivo Cali, became her rival. Both final games ended 1-0 in favor of the home team. It took an extra match, but it ended with the score 1: 1. Argentinos Juniors won the penalty shootout with a score of 5: 4. Subsequently, Judika led the Argentinos Juniors to victory in the less prestigious Inter-American Cup , beating the Defense Force from Trinidad and Tobago . In the Intercontinental Cup , the Red Beetles lost in the penalty shootout to the Italian Juventus .
Following successes with Argentinos, Udika returned to Newells Old Boys, the club where he began his playing career. He led Newells to victory in the Argentine championship in the 1987/88 season, becoming the first coach to win 3 Argentina championships with different clubs. In 1988, he led Newells, for the first time in club history, to the Libertadores Cup final, but lost to Uruguayan Nacional .
In 1990, Yudika returned to Deportivo Cali, and then headed Pachuca in Mexico, with whom he became the winner of the Second Division [3] .
