Sosnovets ( Belorussian. Sasnavets ) (until July 30, 1964 the Monastery) is a village in the Babunichsky village council of the Petrikovsky district of the Gomel region of Belarus .

Location
12 km north of Petrikov , 12 km from the railway station Mulyarovka (on the line Luninets - Kalinkovichi ), 187 km from Gomel .

Transportation Network
Near the highway Luninets - Kalinkovichi . The layout consists of a rectilinear street close to latitudinal orientation, rarely built up with wooden estates.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 18th century as a village in the Mozyr district of the Minsk Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . After the 2nd partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . According to the census of 1897 in the Petrikovsky volost. In 1932, a collective farm was organized. During World War II, 12 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census as part of the farm "Testament of Ilyich" (center - the village of Babunichi ).
