The Central Bank of Libya ( Arabic: مصرف ليبيا المركزي , Central Bank of Libya ) is the central bank of the Libyan Republic .

History
In 1951, the Monetary Commission was established in London, which included representatives from the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Egypt. March 24, 1952 The Foreign Exchange Commission began issuing the Libyan pound. In April 1956, the Central Bank of Libya was created in the form of a joint stock company, 50% of which belonged to the Libyan government. Gradually, the share of the government was brought to 100%. September 1, 1971 instead of the Libyan pound, the Libyan dinar was introduced [1] .
