Biathlon World Cup 2006/2007 season - a series of international biathlon competitions, consisting of 9 stages (each stage includes 3 races for men and women). The first stage was held in the Swedish Ostersund from November 28 to December 3, 2006 , the final - in Russia , in Khanty-Mansiysk , from March 14 to 18, 2007 . From February 2 to 11, 2007, the World Biathlon Championship was held in Anterselva ( Italy ), the results of which were also included in the overall standings of the World Cup.

In men, the winner of the World Cup for the race before the end of the season was German biathlete Michael Grice , who was ahead of Norwegian Ole Einar BjΓΆrndalen who did not quite successfully perform in Khanty-Mansiysk and did not come to the final stage of the Frenchman Rafael Poiret . In women, everything was decided in the last race. German Andrea Henkel immediately made 5 misses on the first shooting of the race from the general start, but later on of the 15 shots she missed only once, and, despite her short 15th place, she managed to get ahead of her rivals: compatriot Katie Wilhelm and Swede Anna Karin Olofsson and become the owner of the main prize of the season. In the draw of the Nations Cup, the Russian biathletes excelled in men - in the German team, in women - by a wide margin.

This season was the last in the sports career of the following biathletes: Florence Baverle-Robert (France), Catherine Apel (Germany), Irina Malgina (Russia), Linda Grubben (Norway), Rafael Poiret (France), Ricco Gross (Germany), Ludwig Gredler (Austria), Sergey Chepikov (Russia), Wilfried Pallhuber (Italy), Julien Robert (France), Sven Fischer (Germany).

Scoring system: 1st place - 50 points, 2nd - 46, 3rd - 43, 4th - 40, 5th - 37, 6th - 34, 7th - 32, 8- e - 30, 9th - 28, 10th - 26, 11th - 24, 12th - 22, 13th - 20, 14th - 18, 15th - 16, from the 16th in 30th place - from 15 to 1 points.

Team Event
Team classification is calculated based on the results of individual races, sprint races and relay races.
When calculating points, the 3 best results of biathletes in this country are taken into account. Scoring system: for the occupied places from the 1st to the 15th 100 points are awarded plus the number of points received in the individual standings; Athletes who take places from the 16th to the 130th are awarded points calculated by the formula (131 - taken place). At the final count, three races that bring the least points are not taken into account.

- β The third stage of the cup was originally supposed to be held in Brezno-Osrblie ( Slovakia ), but because of the weather the stage was moved to Hochfilzen ( Austria )
- β Initially, the schedule was an individual race, but due to the transfer of the stage to Hochfilzen, the organizers did not have time to prepare a longer track. Thus, at one stage, two men's sprint races took place.
- β Since the third stage was postponed due to weather conditions from Brezno-Osrblie to Hochfilzen, where the individual race was replaced by a sprint race, at the stage in Holmenkollen the sprint that was initially present in the schedule was replaced by an individual race, which served as the qualification for the pursuit race that followed
