Rozhava ( Belorussian. Razhava ) is a village in the Verbovichi village council of the Narovlyansky district of the Gomel region of Belarus .

In connection with radiation pollution after the Chernobyl disaster, residents (54 families) were resettled in 1986 in clean places, mainly in the village of Kryukovichi, Kalinkovichi district .

History
The Mesolithic settlement revealed by archaeologists near the village dates back to the 8th – 7th centuries BC. e., testifies to the settlement of these places since ancient times. According to written sources, it has been known since the beginning of the 19th century , when a smelter was operating here, which belonged to a real secret adviser J. Sievers . In 1825, S.I. Horvat bought the village. In 1834, in the Dernovichi volost of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province .
In 1918, a school was opened, which was located in a hired peasant house. In 1931, the collective farm “The Way of Ilyich” was organized, the forge worked. During World War II, German occupants killed 10 residents. 24 residents died at the front. In 1986, it was part of the Pripyat state farm (the center is the village of Dovlyady ).
