The variety is named after the wife of Lieutenant General Eng. John Kiszeli , named Arabella.

Variety Description

Diploid [1]

The length of the shoots is 1.5-1.8 m.

The shoots are semi-grassy. The leaves are simple, leathery.

Flowering time: June-October.

The flowers are bluish-violet or purplish-blue, the stamens are cream-white-yellow, 7.5-9 cm in diameter. Petals 4-8 [2] . Anthers yellow [4] .

Agricultural Engineering

Location: sunny or partial shaded areas.

Cropping group : 3 (strong) [4] . In the first year, it is recommended to trim above 2-3 pairs of buds about 20 cm from the ground, in subsequent years a little higher [3] .

Clematis 'Arabella' is not picky about soils.
