Geography
Location
42 km south-west of Narovli , 42 km from the Yelsk railway station (on the Kalinkovichi - Ovruch line ), 220 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the Chania River [a tributary of the Zhelon River (Mukhoedovsky Canal)].
Transportation Network
Transport links along a country road and then the Moskalevka - Golovchitskaya Buda highway. The layout consists of a short, curvilinear, almost latitudinal orientation of the street, built up on two-sided wooden estates.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 19th century as a village in the Dernovichi volost of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province . In 1931, residents entered the collective farm . During the Great Patriotic War , an underground group operated (leader B. Tsalko). In August 1943, the German occupiers completely burned the village and killed 14 inhabitants. 31 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census, as part of the Dzerzhinsky state farm (the center is the village of Dzerzhinsk ).
Until October 31, 2006 as part of the Krasnovsky Village Council [1] , from October 31, 2006 in the Kirov Village Council.
