Location
52 km south-west of Narovli , 28 km from the Yelsk railway station (on the Kalinkovichi - Ovruch line ), 225 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
In the north, a network of reclamation canals connected to the Slovechna River (a tributary of the Pripyat River ).
Transportation Network
Near the highway Moskalevka - Golovchitskaya Buda . The layout consists of a rectilinear, meridional orientation of the street, to which a short street joins in the north. Two-sided building, wooden, manor type.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the 19th century as a village in the Narovlyan volost of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province . In 1890, a public school was opened. In 1931, residents entered the collective farm . There was a primary school , a kindergarten. During the Great Patriotic War , an underground group operated (leader Adamenko). The German invaders on July 12, 1943 burned the village and killed 103 residents (buried in the grave of the victims of fascism near the school building). 42 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census, as part of the collective farm named after M.V. Frunze (the center is the village of Grushevka ). There were a consumer services plant, a 9-year school, a club, a feldsher-midwife station, and a store.
