In connection with radiation pollution after the Chernobyl disaster, residents (61 families) were relocated to clean places in 1986.
Geography
Location
22 km south of Narovli , 47 km from the Yelsk railway station (on the Kalinkovichi - Ovruch line ), 200 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the southern outskirts of the Zhelon River (Mukhoedovsky Canal).
Transportation Network
Transport links on a country road, and then on the road Corners - Chapaevka . The layout consists of a rectilinear street oriented latitudinally and built up on two-sided wooden manor-type houses.
History
It was founded in 1920 by immigrants from neighboring villages on former landowner lands. In 1931, residents entered the collective farm . During the Great Patriotic War , an underground group operated (leader N. Mikhailov). Released on November 27, 1943. 12 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census, it was part of the Partizansky state farm (the center is the village of Ugly ).
