BC Card Cup

The BC Card Cup is one of the main Korean go titles that existed from 1990 to 2007. The tournament was held by the Korean Paduk Association and sponsored by Sports Korea and the BC Card [1] . The prize fund of the tournament was 20 000 000 won (about 21 000 dollars).

20 young Korean players took part in the BC Card Cup; The tournament is analogous to the Japanese title for young players in go Shinjin O. [1] In the first stage of the tournament, 19 consecutive knockout games take place; with the previous holder of the title goes the final 19th game (it is enough for him to win one game, other players - at least - two).
