Location
41 km south of Narovli , 44 km from the Yelsk railway station (on the Kalinkovichi - Ovruch line ), 219 km from Gomel . 1.5 km from the border with Ukraine .

The highway connects the village with Narovlya. The layout consists of two parts separated by the river: the south (a straight street with 2 lanes oriented from the southwest to the northeast) and the north (2 short streets with an alley form an A-shape). Two-sided building, wooden, manor type.
History
According to written sources, it has been known since the beginning of the 19th century as a village in the Dernovichi volost of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province . In 1825, S.I. Horvat bought the village from Golstov. From 1925 to August 21, 1937 the center of the Alexander Village Council. In 1929, the collective farm "August 1" was organized. During World War II, German invaders in June 1942 killed 21 residents of the villages of Alexandrovka and Gabrielevka (buried in the grave of victims of fascism). 33 residents died at the front. According to the 1959 census, as part of the farm "Agricultural chemistry" (center - the village of Kirov ). The library, medical assistant-obstetric center, club, post office were located .
