29 km south of Mozyr , 152 km from Gomel , 15 km from the Kozenki railway station (on the Kalinkovichi - Ovruch line ).

History

The ancient settlement discovered by archaeologists (in the center of the village) indicates the settlement of these places from ancient times. According to written sources, it has been known since the 16th century as a village in the Mozyr district of Minsk province of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . Marked on the map of the Minsk province of the late XVII century as the village of Strelki. After the 2nd partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . In 1795, the village, the church functioned (wooden). In 1834 there was a pier on Pripyat. According to the census of 1897, there was a bakery.

In 1930 the collective farm “New Strelsk” was organized, the forge was working. During the Great Patriotic War, 45 people died at the front. According to the census of 1959 in the experimental base "Krinichnaya" (center - the village of Krinichny ). Operated obstetric point. In 1962 the neighboring village of Strelskaya Gorka was annexed to the village.
